Thekweni Guest House is 3 star graded. There is a swimming pool on the premises, braai facilities, honesty fridge and secure parking.
Our rooms are very spacious all tastefully decorated and all en suite, Rooms 1 and 2 have double beds and full bathroom en suite’s. Rooms 3 has a double bed and bunk beds, with a seperate shower, Room 4 has 2 singles and a corner bath ensuite, Room 5 has a queen bed and shower en suite, Room 6 has a king size bed and a corner bath ensuite, Room 7 has 4 single beds and a shower en suite and Room 8 has a queen size bed and a shower en suites. There are tea & coffee facilities, air conditioners and TV’s with DSTV in each room. Our rooms are serviced daily. Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 are all upstairs, Room 8 overlooks the pool downstairs. All guests are given a remote for the gate.
We offer a very tasty Full English and Continental breakfast and cater for dietary requirements if notified in advance. Breakfast is served from 07H00 to 09H30 daily, 7 days a week. There is a microwave in the kitchen if guests wish to make use of it. We do offer dinners at an extra charge but not during the festive season.
We have a combine dinning room and lounge. Outside next to the swimming pool is a lapa where guests can also have their breakfast. A bathroom with a shower is next to the pool for guests use.
We are situated one road down from the Promenade (Glenashley beach). You walk out our gate across the road down a cleared pathway and you are on the beach (we have beach towels).
We have very easy access to the M4, there is a quick Spar and restaurants within walking distance. (John Smit is a partner in the one restaurant called “Mamma Luciana’s) which is an Italian restaurant. Situated in the same centre is a Quick Spar, Tops, a Thai and Fish restaurant and a pub called Livingstones. There is also a pharmacy.
Approximately 1 and a half kilometers is La Lucia Mall which has a Pick n’Pay, Clicks, Dis Chem, Virgin Active, various shops and coffee shops.
Approximately 4 kilometers is Umhlanga Rocks which has a John Dory’s, steak restaurants, Chinese, Indian, Shusi, Seafood, Pizza and Pasta restaurants. There are also quite a few shops in what is called the “Village” in Umhlanga. Then Gateway is approximately 6 kilometers from our Guest House.
Mount Edgecombe and Beachwood Golf courses are also situated close to our Guest House and there is also a Body Spar which overlooks Beachwood Golf Course.
